Flexible component contracts for local resource awareness

Ubiquitous and pervasive computing paradigms tend to shift towards open service-oriented plat-forms, in which carelessly written services can un-dermine the general stability of the whole system. We propose a component-contract based approach to solve these challenges. Resource contracts, com-bined with an intelligent resource broker and moni-toring system, will efficiently deal with the local re-source aspects of dynamically reconfigurable com-ponent systems. 1
