Threat understanding using multiple tracking-sensors and fuzzy-based evidence accrual

Stephen Craig Stubberud, Kathleen Ann Kramer · 2016

An intelligent evidence accrual technique is proposed as a means to achieve activity-based intelligence, which is the assessment of the situation and the potential threat observed. This technique is based upon a fuzzy Kalman filter that fuses various types of observations to monitor activities over a duration of time and provide an assessment of the situation. The approach incorporates a data-to-image mapping and correlation to allow combination of disparate elements. The technique is able to provide both a measure of evidence and a level of uncertainty for the state.
