This paper introduces the design of novel reversible nanoscale decoder using QCA. The proposed decoder is designed using reversible QCA1 gate. The new QCA layout of QCA1 gate has less device area than existing layouts. The power dissipation by these reversible QCA decoders is estimated, to establish that QCA is suitable alternative platform to CMOS, for implementing reversible circuits. It has also been shown how QCA1 gate can function as AND-gate as well as OR-gate. The simulation results are verified with theoretical values. The proposed circuits can be used to design reversible architecture for nanocommunication.
