On the W-CDMA Uplink Capacity and Interference Statistics of a Long Tunnel Cigar-shaped Microcells
Bazil Taha Ahmed, Miguel Calvo Ramón · 2003
The uplink capacity and the interference statistics of the sectors of the cigar-shaped W-CDMA microcell are studied. A model of multi-cells is used to analyze the uplink. The cells are assumed to exist in a long tunnel. A hybrid model of propagation is used in the calculations. The capacity and the interference statistics of the cell are studied for different microcell radius, different specific attenuation factor, different antenna sidelobe levels and different bend loss.
