The Generalized Reuse Framework – Strategies and the Decision Process for Planned Reuse
Gan Wang · INCOSE International Symposium · 2016
Abstract The Generalized Reuse Framework is a strategic reuse model for systems engineering management that addresses both investment and leverage of reuse through two interrelated and interacting processes: Development with Reuse (DWR) and Development for Reuse (DFR). This paper summarizes the latest development of this framework from three different angles – taxonomy of reuse, the DWR and DFR categories, reuse strategies and decision processes as applied to incremental system development and product line engineering through a set of planned reuse scenarios.
