PrIOR: A prime number based I/O redirection algorithm for sensor-cloud infrastructure

The advent of sensor-cloud technology is enabling on-demand allocation and sharing of sensors to multiple consumer applications. In order to enable sharing of single sensing resource by multiple consumer applications and in order to forward data from multiple sensing resources to an application in an efficient manner, it is required to provide many-to-many connections while channeling sensor data. This paper deals with redirection of I/O traffic from the remotely situated sensors to the cloud over many-to-many connection. A novel prime number based algorithm is proposed in this paper and its performance is compared with usual poling-based iterative algorithm.
