To obtain secured transmission of data, cryptographic algorithms are used. In Public key cryptosystems there are two mathematically related keys that are used by the two communicating entities. This paper, proposes a novel Quartic Bezier curve based cryptosystem over Galois Field GF (pm). In this work, each of the plaintext value that needs to be encrypted is mapped on to the (X, Y) coordinate of the Bezier curve. The proposed algorithm is used for encrypting and decrypting video frames. More emphasis is on the Double Selective encryption for video frames. Only Selected Video frames are encrypted. In each selected video frame, only selected pixel values are encrypted. The pixel values above a certain threshold are encrypted. Selective decryption is carried out at the receiver's end. This enhances the security and also reduces the execution time. The main strength of the algorithm lies in the key generation that is based on Galois field
