ENERGY MANAGEMENT IN WIRELESS SENSOR NETWORKS: CROSS LAYER APPROACH BRIEF REVIEW

Narayanasamy Sangeetha, G S Binu · 2016

Wireless sensor network represents a tremendous technology that attracts more and more considerable research attention in recent years. It has emerged as a result of recent advances in low power digital and analog circuitry, low-power RF design and sensor technology. The important drawback of the sensor network are the limited resources therefore hard energy constraints are presented in the network. The efficient utilization of energy has an important role in WSN. Since all layers of protocol stack architecture affect the energy consumption, exploiting interaction between these layers by a cross layer design will result in an efficient energy utilization of the network. In this paper we have discussed about the comparative analysis of the various cross Layer Design protocols.
