Using Multi-agent and Case-Based Reasoning for Collaboration in a Supply Chain

The importance of collaboration in a supply chain has led several scholars to suggest diverse approaches. Questions still remain concerning the best way of dealing with collaboration and conflicts under demand and supply uncertainties. This research proposes a model based on case-based reasoning and multi-agents for supply chain collaboration and information sharing (MACBR-SCM). The MACBR-SCM is implemented as a web service to facilitate communications among multiagents. The MACBR-SCM is validated for various collaboration mechanisms. The results of the statistical tests reveal the importance of enhanced collaboration for the best performance.
