Effect of TLB on system performance

In today's computer era where each and every field is encroached by computers, the computer performance that is the ability of computing machine to handle or execute the task in optimal time is very important. The computer performance or speed is affected by so many factors. The topic of this Paper is "Effect of TLB on System performance ". Translation Lookaside Buffer (TLB) is a sort of cache, if handled efficiently, can reduce the memory access time and eventually can improve the system performance. The paper first explains the concept of translation lookaside buffer with its need and role in computing. After that the concept of System performance is discussed with various factors which affect performance. Finally the effect of TLB on performance is discussed.
