Electronically adjustable slot function equalization

Julius Foit, Jan Novák · International Conference on Circuits · 2011

In signal processing, we are frequently forced to use devices whose amplitude and frequency characteristics do not belong to the minimum-phase network class. An important example of the non-minimum phase case is the group of systems suffering from the slot function distortion in analog sensor signal processing. Someone might object that the current signal processing methods are based on digital principles, avoiding the analog problems altogether. Unfortunately, natural signals are analog, and the errors mentioned above appear before the signal can be digitized; subsequent correction of the already digitized signal is complex and expensive or right away impossible. This paper discusses the possible means of correction of these I. problems.
