Static approaches for concept location during software evolution

Simon Xu · 2016

Concept location is the activity to identify an initial location in the source code which implements the functionality in software during software evolution. There exist some different approaches to automate this process including static and dynamic methods. This talk will provide an introduction to software evolution and the static techniques for concept location. Case studies are also provided for evaluation and comparison. At the end, a few future research directions in this field will be discussed.
