Event-triggered control for output synchronization of networks with incrementally-dissipative nodes

Tao Liu, David John Hill · 2016

This paper studies output synchronization of dynamical networks with identical incrementally-dissipative nonlinear nodes. Event-triggered control is used to decide when each node communicates to its neighbours such that the network can achieve output synchronization. A novel topology dependent Lyapunov function is introduced to design the event-triggered controller which only depends on the output of the network. For networks whose nodes can obtain global information, a centralized event-triggered controller is proposed under which the network achieves output synchronization asymptotically. For networks whose nodes can only get local information, a distributed event-triggered controller is designed to achieve bounded output synchronization. A network with coupled chaotic Chua's circuits is used in the simulation study to show the effectiveness of the proposed results.
