Marker based attendance systems in education process

This paper describes a simply use case, to do students attendance using only classroom live video stream and a simply organized list of optical markers. Each student is wearing his own marker on visible part of his body. This marker exactly defines its own ID and cannot be interchanged with another one. As marker detection method / system we used Aruco markers. This selection is a result of the attached simply state of the art marker detection methods comparison. We have done a series of test to determine the best marker wearing place on human body for best detection rate. After evaluating all researched facts the attendance evaluation model was designed.
