The strength of mobile ad-hoc networks and the rapid deployment capability can be used in many situations where the network has to be deployed in short time, and there is a need to collect sensitive informations. The war field or battled field conditions are one which requires a large number of nodes has to be deployed in particular geographic region and data collections must be performed to make so many decisions and to help the war troops. We consider about cluster based routing in data collection where the leaf nodes pass the sensitive war field information to the cluster head. The information available in the cluster head could be collected by some mobile nodes and performs various tasks like decision-making about sending war troops, medicines and much more. The presence of malicious node troubles the decision making by sending malicious information’s, which is not relevant to the war filed information or fake information, or sending a large number of packets to the controlling station or base station. We propose a time orient behavior analysis approach, which monitors the behavior of any war field station in sending the information to perform intrusion detection. The method computes various factors like War Field Update Frequency, Warfield Data Rate, War field Signature Sample Rate. Using the computed factors, the method computes the UDS (update frequency – data rate-sample rate) score to identify the trustworthy of the packet and includes in decision making. The proposed approach increases the performance of intrusion detection in manet and reduces the false ratio.
