A Comparison of Existing Tools for Evaluation of Programming Exercises

In the current era, digital learning plays an important role in education. Many e-learning courses are easily available and also offered by many reputed institutes. There exists a dire need for automatic evaluation of programming assignments and exercises to ease the amount of time consumed for the same purpose and also to have a clear and non-inclined result to the process of the assignment evaluation. The following work gives an in -- depth study of the existing tools/software available and developed for the same purpose of automatic evaluation. The study focuses on the study of such existing tools/software on the basis of different parameters like functionalities and features, both static and dynamic, in nature.
