Calculation of L_infty norms for scaling second-order state-space digital filter sections

A simple expression is developed for calculating theL_{\infty}norms needed to provideL_{\infty}-norm scaling of second-order state-space digital filter sections. This expression is suitable for developing design equations for filter sections with inherentL_{\infty}scaling.
