Variability management is an activity dedicated to provide flexibility and a high level of reuse on the software development. Within the software product line approach, the variability activities are aimed at allowing developers to develop a set of similar applications based on a manageable range of variable functionalities according to expert users' needs. Several variability management approaches have emerged in the lasttwenty years focusing on the different aspects of this activity. Within this wide range of proposals, we are interested in those focused on providing semantic approaches with traceable capabilities together with mechanisms for supporting automatic or semi-automatic processes. In this work, we propose a variability approach which follows our SPL development methodology by adding specific artifacts and activities to represent and manage the inherent complexity of the variability.
