First Deliverables: Testing, QA, and Project Health Continued
Anna Murray · 2015
This chapter focuses on the first real look at the software (alpha) and what to expect—messiness. It sets forth how to distinguish a good mess from a bad mess. The chapter explores the emotional phases of software projects and their impact on the project. Concepts such as getting to software stability, quality assurance testing, regression testing, and the "happy path" are discussed. The chapter answers questions such as: How many bugs are too many? Is there such a thing as too few bugs? What is the right amount of testing? When is the right time to call an end to testing?
