Block based imperceptible data hiding using wavelets in wireless communication

The work proposes Daubechies Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) based data authentication for sustaining efficient bit rate and good performance in wireless communication. The block based technique justifies secret data (Image/ Text/ Audio) protection against intruders, secured transmission of the authenticated data and data identification without the source image i.e. blind reverse process. The robustness of hiding is improved by fabricating secret data in the middle frequency coefficients of two different resolution levels concurrently. An initiative is taken to resist degradation in the image visual quality during communication. The added noise is reduced and a readjustment phase (handle) is used to maintain the fidelity parity between the authenticated and source images. A message digest tests the purity of the extracted data and the algorithm proves effective against some familiar attacks. The experimental results shows a worthy improvement over other similar techniques and may also help to protect medical information.
