Abstract. In this paper a design model for Web-based Adaptive Educational Applications (WAEA) is presented. A model-based approach is proposed as an answering to the problem of the difficulty of authoring such applications. This approach is based on the use of object oriented modeling techniques and the specification of WAEA by means of an XML binding. 1
