Formulation of digital signal processing in spline signal spaces

Models of digital signal processing are built on the signal spaces composed of spline functions. It is revealed that the models include and generalize the conventional ideal model built cm the bandlimited signal space and the conventional model in practice with a 0-order or 1-order hold circuit and that they can be implemented by real circuits as far as they are not identical with the conventional ideal model. Thus the models make it possible to treat the signal processing system which exists between the conventional ideal model and the conventional practice in theory through implementation.
