Chapter 26: Files, Filegroups, and Integrity
Jason Brimhall, Jonathan Gennick, Wayne Sheffield · Apress eBooks · 2015
Every database has a minimum of two files associated with it: the data file and the log file. However, sometimes you may want to add more files (of either type) to the database, increase their size, move them to a different drive, or perform other file-level activities. And once you have all the files on your databases placed and sized appropriately, you will need to perform regular maintenance activities on them to ensure that their integrity does not become compromised. This chapter will show you how to perform these activities. These keywords were added by machine and not by the authors. This process is experimental and the keywords may be updated as the learning algorithm improves.
