We analyze the nonlinear optical response of a novel five-level atomic system. A giant cross-Kerr nonlinearities that occur in such a system are shown to produce efficient photon-photon entanglement. Furthermore, the entanglement can be controllable and hence facilitates more applications in quantum information and computation.
