Of words and objects

W. Arthur Chapman · 1991

In this chapter you will be introduced to some important and fundamental elements which form part of the structure of the C language. These elements are concerned with the semantics and syntax of C. We will be discussing the various categories of valid ‘words’ and how they can be joined together to form meaningful ‘sentences’. We will also be looking at some simple programs which will help to consolidate this material. By the end of this chapter you will be able to write simple interactive programs in C.
