High-performance TCP/IP/ATM communications boards driving force for various multimedia services

The newly developed high-performance TCP/IP/ATM communications boards for workstations process TCP/IP on the board. The TCP throughput of the boards reaches 134 Mbit/s. Using them, multimedia applications can use the ATM bandwidth fully, and it is possible to offer multimedia services that previously could not be efficiently offered because of the bottleneck in communications-protocol-processing.
