High capacity information hiding scheme using VAD algorithm
Rong‐San Lin · 2016
This paper proposes a high-capacity hiding scheme for embedding secret message in the inactive frames of low-bit rate speech bitstream. Our information-hiding scheme can correctly extract secret message in the receiver. The scheme uses a flag to synchronize the embedding and extraction process in steganography. The results of an imperceptibility evaluation indicate that the average perceptual evaluation of speech quality (PESQ) score is degraded only slightly 0.023, relative to that of original speech that is not hidden data. Experimental results show that our proposed hiding algorithm not only achieves perfect imperceptibility but also produces a high data-embedding rate, on average 26% for 5.3k bit/s coding.
