OpenGL ES and Polygons

J. F. DiMarzio · Apress eBooks · 2015

OpenGL for Embedded Systems (OpenGL ES) is an open source graphics API that is packaged with the Android SDK. Although there is limited support for working with graphics when using core Android calls, it would be extremely difficult—if not impossible—to create an entire game without using OpenGL ES. Core Android graphics calls are slow and clunky, and with few exceptions should not be used for gaming. This is where OpenGL ES comes in. These keywords were added by machine and not by the authors. This process is experimental and the keywords may be updated as the learning algorithm improves.
