Towards Green Cloud Computing: Impact of carbon footprint on environment
Sanjeev Thakur, Ankur Chaurasia · 2016
Latest research states that by the end of 2020 carbon emission footprints will increase by 20%. This emission is mainly taking place due to Data Centers used to achieve the cloud computing architecture. Data centers and new technology adoptions are mainly causing this carbon emission. These Data Centers uses cloud energy to serve the user generated request and this energy consumption is the basic cause of carbon emission. This paper is basically an attempt to look for the possible solutions which we can adopt to reduce the carbon footprints and produce a green cloud computing which will help the humanity in saving our environment.
