Going Deeper: Patterns and Delegates
Rory A. Lewis, Laurence Moroney · Apress eBooks · 2013
In the last few chapters, you’ve been looking at creating “Hello, World!”–style applications that perform basic tasks, using very simple controls—the button, the label, and the image view. These introduced you to some concepts of development, including actions and outlets. In this chapter, you’ll look into more of the concepts that are regularly used in iOS development and that you’ll use extensively in this book. They are the concepts of delegates, messages, and patterns. These keywords were added by machine and not by the authors. This process is experimental and the keywords may be updated as the learning algorithm improves.
