SYSTOLIC ALGORITHMS FOR MATRIX MULTIPLICATION ON SPACE OPTIMAL 1D SYSTOLIC ARRAYS

In this paper we define and discuss various systolic algorithms for synthesis of one-dimensional systolic arrays (1DSA) with two-dimensional links, suitable for multi- plication of rectangular matrices. It is shown that by choosing appropriate algorithm it is always possible to design optimal systolic array with respect to dimension of matrices.
