Some methods regarding manipulations of scale for digital soil mapping

A.B. McBratney B. Minasny B.P. Malone · 2012

The aim of this paper is to describe what scale means in the context of DSM and how does one go about performing scale manipulations with practicable methods. Described within is a nonexhaustive suite of existing pedometric techniques or processes which may be implemented for conducting scale manipulation of digital soil maps that take into account the extent, resolution and support of the source and destination maps. Here a source map is a map the requires scaling which remains intact while the destination map is a new map and the product of a scale manipulation from the source map.
