Having the database, persistence, and business logic tiers of your application would not make sense without implementing, at some point, the presentation tier, also referred to as the front-end layer of the application. As its name implies, the presentation tier implements the application’s presentation logic, making it possible for the users of the application to take advantage of all this functionality implemented in the other application layers.
