In 1999, the first steps were taken to set up the vifu server at Humboldt University in Berlin. In March 2000, the first prototype actually went into service. Since then, many things have happened and much has changed in the server’s structure and use. Therefore, it seems justified to give a brief historical overview of the vifu server. These keywords were added by machine and not by the authors. This process is experimental and the keywords may be updated as the learning algorithm improves.
