Code develops Reducing Emissions from Deforestation (REDD), Climate Markets & Investment Association, and International Emissions Trading Scheme have different audiences yet all garner widespread corporate support with members ranging from international advisory and investment firms to utilities and corporations producing consumer goods. Code REDD &s;offers an innovative solution to global deforestation by connecting socially responsible companies with high-quality forest conservation projects&s;. In addition to carbon and co-benefit certification standards, REDD+ project developers and investors should seek the highest level of financial transparency and practice business ethics. The United States Government has also provided a range of direct and indirect support for international REDD+ projects including providing political risk insurance, offering technical forestry expertise, and financial support.
