Various kinds of attacks were experienced in Wireless Mesh Networks (WMNs). Amongst these attacks we can mention Denial of Service (DoS), which has been considered as an enormous set of powerful attacks. Indeed, the best solution to prevent this type of attacks presents in tracing back every attack root to recognize origins of these attacks. In fact, the traceback method permits analyzing the Internet traffic for guessing the attack path. In this work, we present our original IP traceback solution founded on marking approach. In our work, we use Zeckendorf theorem to create a new communication protocol named SZNP (Secret Zeckendorf Number Protocol) in Wireless Mesh Networks (IEEE 802.11s). For testing the efficiency of our solution, we used a number of collected parameters of evaluation. In fact, the results of our performance evaluation prove that we can construct accurately the attack path using the Secret Zeckendorf Number scheme without introducing any bandwidth overhead and with a negligible storage space.
