Determining Effectiveness of Code Through Software Metrics

Shital V. Tate, Sangram Z. Gawali · 2013

Abstract--Testing of any software is hard work, but it is essential to find the faults from the newly developed software to determine the effectiveness of code, which will increase the quality of any code. Physical task of performing the tests can take a great deal of time and efforts. Testing improves the quality of code. Manual testing is not a perfect and sufficient to determine the effectiveness of code. We use different metrics to improve the effectiveness of code. Because of this technique manual inspection burden is minimised. We can measure the number faults in the specification, design, code and test plan and trace them back to their root causes. I.
