Chapter 14: Computational Domains

Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics eBooks · 2013

In this chapter, we consider modifications to the atlas algorithms developed in the previous two chapters in order to accommodate volume constraints on the computational domain. Specifically, we wish to perform continuation only if the initial chart on the solution manifold lies inside or on the boundary of a computational domain, defined by interval bounds on (a subset of) the continuation parameters, and at most, as long as there are charts with nonempty coordinate sets ∑.
