For years, Flash has been held up as the answer to many web developer’s prayers. In March of 2002, statistics from NPD Online (quoted at http://www.macromedia.com/software/player_census/flashplayer/version_penetration.html) estimated that almost 460 million Flash players were installed out there, just waiting for our creations to hit them. That means a massive 98.3 percent of all web users are Flash-enabled, whether they know it or not. Most users’ systems are equipped to handle your Flash files; so whatever you create, your audience can embrace it with open arms. Right?
