most crucial tasks that network administrators and managers face today. It ensures effective utilization of the network resources as well as smooth operation of the services running on it. With networks growing exponentially, network management has become indispensable for detecting faults in the network, maintaining service-level agreements (SLAs) and ensuring the reliability of the services. “Network management thus encompasses all the activities and tools dealing with the operation, maintenance, and administration of a network” [1].
