On a Connection between Replica Symmetry Breaking and Narayanaswamy—Gardon Nonlinear Parameters
Udayan Mohanty · ACS symposium series · 2002
A connection is established between Parisi's replica symmetry breaking parameter, m replica (T), that indicates whether the various minima in configurational space are as distinct as imaginable, and the experimental measurable Narayanaswamy-Gardon non-linear parameters x that characterizes the deviation of a glass-forming liquid from equilibrium. The linear temperature dependence of m replica (T) is in agreement with one step replica symmetry breaking. The slope of m replica (T) is governed by the nonlinearity of the supercooled state.
