Creating the Base Asset Model

The most straightforward and methodical approach to finding and removing all of the liabilities side elements of the Structuring Model is simply to start with the main program subroutine and work our way through it in order of its execution hierarchy. This chapter creates an asset handling–specific model from the Structuring Model. This model retains only the functionalities associated with the collateral selection and cash flow amortization portions of the Structuring Model. A set of report template files specific to the Base Asset Model (BAM) which produces the cash flow reports of the waterfall, the matrix summary, and the single scenario report packages.
