Test Environments

Medical environment simulators can make usability tests seem almost indistinguishable from actual medical device use in a clinical environment. They provide a level of realism that can be useful for testing certain types of medical devices and detecting usability issues that might not appear in lower-delity testing environments. However, high-end simulators are expensive to rent and operate, making them impractical for many projects. Also, in some cases, their added environmental delity might be overkill.
