Modernize IT to Secure IT

Companies have traditionally designed their IT environment around everything but security, making them intrinsically insecure. Institutions must move from a crude bolt-on security mentality and instead look at the different ways they can embed cybersecurity into their IT environment. These range from adopting cloud computing where appropriate, to building security into application development, virtualization, software-defined networking, and weaning themselves off e-mail as a document management tool.
