Plotting the Diagram

Richard Mitchell · 1991

An important requirement of the package is the ability to obtain hardcopy of a diagram, that is, to plot the diagram on a plotter or print it on a printer. In the package two such devices are supported, though others could be added. These devices are a PostScript printer[1] and a plotter which can understand HP-GL, the graphics language defined by Hewlett-Packard for their plotters[2]. The acquiring of hardcopy is thus the main topic of the chapter, and this includes methods of using the printer ports on the PC.
