System Fabric Discovery and Analysis

Michael Bell · 2016

This chapter discusses three chief system fabric discovery aspects: contribution of system elements to provide business solutions; arrangement of the system elements on a network; and message paths and information flaw patterns linking system elements. The community center fabric pattern links surrounding nodes to a central node, which is named the community center. The message transport fabric pattern emphasizes the business capability to trade information with different organizations that are driven by diverse business models. The family fabric pattern enables top-down information routing from a parent node to its offspring nodes. The circular message route fabric pattern resembles a ring formation of humans holding hands to demonstrate relationship or convey unity. The chained message route fabric pattern is best suited for small implementations, operating in sub-networks to avoid slow repose time. From a business perspective, the bridge and the crossroad fabric patterns could be employed to connect various business segments.
