What does this mean for business?

This chapter describes how to establish Project Support Office (PSO) for effectively supporting complex projects. If you have some type of Project Management Office (PMO) in place, the implementation plan will accommodate an organization for the future evolution of its PSO. This evolution will be a necessary characteristic of the effective PSO of the short-term future. Establishing a PSO is an agile project and all agile projects begin with a Project Overview Statement (POS). The POS is a one-page document that provides a high-level description of the PSO development project. The senior management team (SMT) must understand the definition and a template implementation plan for establishing the PSO in the organisation. The SMT needs to start thinking about future evolution of the PSO. The complexity and uncertainty of the emerging project management world gives good reason to think about the effective support of projects and how the PSO must respond.
