Of all the technologies deployed for the London 2012 Games, those services with a dependency on radio frequency (RF) communications required the most attention in order to ensure that they could operate successfully together and within the pre-existing environment without interference or conflict. Whilst many RF-based services were deployed directly to support the Games, they of course could not be used at the expense of other critical services, such as those supporting emergency services or in everyday use by the public.
