Digital Aspects: Hardware, Software, and Electronic Portable Instruments
Halit Eren · 2003
Today’s modern electronic portable instruments are almost exclusively digital. There are only a few that are nondigital. This is mainly due to the advantages in the market position and to keep the cost of the instrument down. This section is dedicated entirely to digital aspects of portable instruments. Much of the information is common to all digital devices, computers, and microcontroller and microprocessor systems, as well as to electronic portable instruments. In this chapter, basic architectural aspects of digital systems relevant to modern electronic portable instruments will be highlighted and discussed in detail.
