An intelligent transmit power control and receive antenna selection scheme for uplink MIMO-transceiver in high mobility environments

This study proposes a novel intelligent transmit power control and receive antenna selection (ITPCRAS) scheme to minimize the uplink power and co-channel interference in high-mobility communication environments with UL MIMO-SC-FDMA transceivers. In the proposed method, an ANFIS-based power controller (APC) is used to adjust the transmit power adaptively so as to minimize the user equipment (UE) transmit power while simultaneously satisfying BLER <;10_1 in extended vehicular A (EVA) channels with UE velocities in the range of 0 ~ 300 km/h. The throughput and power consumption of the ITPCRAS algorithm are compared numerically with that of an APC algorithm with various single-input single-output (SISO) and single-input multiple-output (SIMO) configurations.
